Understanding Disability history is important — important enough that more than 10 years ago, state lawmakers passed a law to guarantee during the month of October each public school would:
“Conduct or promote educational activities that provide instruction, awareness, and understanding of disability history and people with disabilities.”
In that spirit, we’ve created two virtual reading rooms with books, videos, news, and activities for young students and for teens and adults.
